We are The Enemy Within, one of Vancouver's most diverse rock bands. We take our influences from a wide range of musical styles, but fuse them
all to create a very unique sound. Bits of funk, punk and classic rock come into play. Some of our most notable influences include:
Elvis Costello, Fugazi, Radiohead, The Murder City Devils, Modest Mouse, Jeff Buckley, the
Tea Party, Hot Hot Heat, Elastica, Devo, (international) Noise Conspiracy,
Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Pete Yorn, Red Hot Chilli
Peppers, Nirvana and the Dead Kennedys. We are Joey Cordless - lead vocals and guitar, Jim Connors, guitar, handclaps and backing vocals, Oliver Knapp - drums, and Monkey plays the electric bass guitar.
Some of the more interesting bands we have played with have been; The Unicorns, The Accident, Mr. Underhill, Death Sentence, Pilot: Scott Tracy (ex-Causey Way), Operation Makeout, Girl Nobody, The Salteens, The Martyr Index, A Virgin in Hollywood, and Johnny Sizzle.
