Born and raised in St. Andrews, Jamaica, Schooled and Grown in the Tropical West Indies; 10 years later, he migrated to Fort Lauderdale Florida where he adapted to the U.S. 2 years later He became interested in hip hop and the energy put forth in the art. Going under the alias, Rhyme Genius many of his peers called him Dread Because his Jamaican accent was still strong. Eventually the contradiction came once he got older, Dread but no Dreads. Jokily, someone called him Naps and from there, became Naps.... and....Dreds. Not two people, but one individual with a mixture of reality and Genetics. NapsNdreds started working on his first LP titled Black Board Jungle” Under the distribution company of Boiling Point, the LP is scheduled for release some time this year 2003.
